Caravan and camping clubs in Europe

Camper Club Italia is an Italian motorhome owners' association registered as an APS, formally constituted on 14 October 1985 after starting as an informal group in 1973. It organises raduni, the club rallies that form the core of its calendar, and publishes a members' Notiziario. Members receive discounts through partner agreements and information on motorhome service areas across Italy. The website carries machine translation into a wide range of languages.

Caravan Club of Sweden

The Caravan Club of Sweden held its first annual meeting on 4 April 1958, after the idea was formed in a caravan at Sälen the previous Easter. It has over 29,000 member families and owns or operates 38 campsites across Sweden. Members receive Fritidsmagasinet Caravan, access to Caravan Försäkring insurance and an international camping card. The club arranges domestic and international meets and runs camping education programmes.

Caravaning Club Slovenija

Caravaning Club Slovenija was established on 21 April 2001 as a nationwide registered society for motorhome and caravan users. It recorded 367 members in 2024. The club runs organised meetups, trips and camping rallies in Slovenia and abroad, and advocates for caravan development and freedom of movement for campers. It joined FICC in June 2005.

Dansk Camping Union

Founded in 1926 and based in Brøndby, the DCU is Denmark's national camping union with around 40,000 member families. It owns and operates 20 campsites across Denmark, where members receive a 30 percent discount, and has discount agreements with over 100 further Danish sites and more than 300 European locations. Members receive Camping-fritid magazine eight times a year plus ferry and attraction discounts and guidance on equipment purchases and contracts. The union opened a camping outdoor museum with Egeskov in May 2021.

Deutscher Camping-Club e.V.

Established in Munich on 22 September 1948, the DCC is Germany's national camping club, organised into 21 regional associations and more than 125 local clubs. Members receive the CAMPING magazine, the DCC Clubkarte discount card accepted at partner sites known as DCC Vorteilsplätze, and the CCI card. Its DCC Camping Guide app covers close to 22,000 European campsites and it publishes the annual DCC Campingführer Europa. Local clubs provide volunteer caravan and motorhome technical advisers, and the club hosts FICC rallies.

Escapees RV Club

Founded in 1978 by Joe and Kay Peterson and headquartered at Rainbow's End in Livingston, Texas, Escapees serves full-time and long-term RVers with over 70,000 members. It owns eight RV parks across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama and Missouri, with a further 11 member-run SKP co-ops. Its mail forwarding and domicile service began in 1985 and is central to the club's appeal for full-timers. It also runs RVers Boot Camp training, the SmartWeigh wheel-by-wheel weighing service and an online university.

Family Motor Coach Association

Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, FMCA has around 80,000 member families and has issued over 500,000 memberships in its history. It began as a motorhome-only association and has since opened to all RV types, trading as the Family RV Association. Around 500 chapters organise events by geography, RV brand and interests such as golf, amateur radio, pickleball and off-roading. It holds two international conventions a year plus regional rallies, and publishes Family RVing magazine.

Irish Camping and Caravan Club

Founded in 1971, the ICCC is the consumer membership club for campers and caravanners in Ireland, with six local branches serving all 32 counties. It operates two members-only sites that are open year-round and runs a calendar of national rallies and holidays, including occasional trips to Britain and mainland Europe. It publishes The Camper magazine and issues an international travel carnet for members going abroad. The club is affiliated to FICC.

Klubi Eesti Karavan is a registered non-profit based in Tallinn that describes itself as the largest and oldest caravan club in the Baltic region. It draws members from Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania, organises events and maintains partnerships with campsites and service providers. It runs a members' forum and issues the Camping Card International. It is Estonia's FICC member organisation and took part in the 2026 FICC General Assembly.

Magyar Camping és Caravanning Club

The MCCC is Hungary's national camping and caravanning club, based in Budapest. It issues the Camping Card International in Hungary and organises a programme of domestic meets, listed on its site as belföldi találkozók, along with international gatherings. It is Hungary's FICC member organisation. Its published statutes and meeting calendars are in Hungarian.

Nederlandse Caravan Club

The NCC is a volunteer-run non-profit association for caravan, motorhome, tent and folding trailer campers in the Netherlands. It owns 12 camping grounds around the country, chosen for quiet natural settings. Around 50 events are held each year, including rallies, skills weekends and international trips. Members receive the club magazine De Caravan.

Nederlandse Kampeerauto Club

The NKC is the Dutch national club for motorhome owners, with more than 65,000 members. It publishes Kampeerauto magazine and sells motorhome, e-camper, car, travel and legal expenses insurance through its own scheme. Members get technical and maintenance advice, an academy of training courses, organised group trips, and Campercontact PRO+ app access for finding motorhome stopovers. It also runs motorhome rental and buying and selling guidance services.

Nederlandse Toeristen Kampeer Club

The NTKC is the oldest camping association in the Netherlands and admits tent campers only. It owns and runs about 20 natural campsites spread across the country, where members carry out the sanitary block cleaning, grounds maintenance and administration themselves, which keeps overnight fees low. Campers are required to move their pitch every four nights to protect the grass. It is a member federation of FICC.

Norsk Bobil og Caravan Club

Founded in 1960 as Norsk Caravan Club, the NBCC is the oldest and largest interest organisation for camping vehicle owners in Norway, with local branches in 11 districts from Lindesnes to Nordkapp. It runs its own campsite chain, NBCC CAMP, and offers members free driving courses, technical vehicle inspections and legal help from experienced lawyers. Its travel committee arranges trips and it hosts national, Nordic and international gatherings. The magazine Bobil og Caravan Magasinet appears up to six times a year. The club belongs to FICC and the Nordic Caravan Council.

Österreichischer Camping Club

Founded in 1951 and based in Vienna, the ÖCC describes itself as the largest camper interest group in Austria. It issues the Camping Card International bundled with camper liability insurance and runs an ÖCC Vorteilspartner discount network across Austria and Europe. Members receive the quarterly Camping Revue magazine and access to its campsite and motorhome stopover databases. The club is affiliated to both FICC and FIA, and works in partnership with ÖAMTC.

Royal Camping et Caravaning Club de Belgique asbl

The RCCCB is a long-established French-speaking Belgian camping and caravanning club registered as an asbl. Its only web presence found is a legacy page on the free.fr hosting service, which carries no current content and no HTTPS, so no working official website could be verified. Belgian camping activity is now mostly channelled through the Flemish federations and FICC-affiliated clubs. The organisation remains listed in Belgian company registers.

The Camping and Caravanning Club

Started in 1901 as the Association of Cycle Campers, this is the oldest camping organisation in the UK. It runs close to 100 of its own Club Sites and more than 1,200 member-only Certificated Sites, and operates as a not-for-profit body. It offers Club Care insurance, travel insurance, breakdown cover and manoeuvring courses, and contains special interest sections such as the Association of Lightweight Campers and the Canoe-Camping Club.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club

Founded in 1907 and based in East Grinstead, the club operates around 200 of its own campsites in the UK plus more than 2,200 small five-van Certificated Locations open only to members. It sells caravan, motorhome and travel insurance, MAYDAY breakdown cover and Red Pennant overseas travel cover. The club also books European ferries and pitches and runs manoeuvring and motorhome driving courses. It was known as The Caravan Club until February 2017.

The Motor Caravanners' Club

A UK membership club open to owners and users of any motorised camping vehicle. It runs over 500 rallies and social meets a year across the UK through 22 regional groups, held at venues such as schools, village halls and sports clubs with water and waste disposal provided. Members receive a free monthly magazine and yearbook and discounts with camping retailers. Rally fees are typically £12 to £18 per unit per night.

Türkiye Kamp ve Karavan Derneği

TKKD is Turkey's national camping and caravanning association and its FICC member organisation, issuing the Camping Card International. It promotes camping and caravanning culture in Turkey, organises gatherings and represents campers' interests with authorities. It operates two web presences, kampkaravan.org.tr and turkiyekampvekaravandernegi.org.tr. A separate national federation, UKKF, is also listed by FICC for Turkey.

Udruga kampista Hrvatske

Founded in 1996, UKH is the Croatian club for individual campers, distinct from the campsite operators' association. It became a full member of FICC in early 1998 and issues the Camping Card International, which gives access to over 3,000 European and Croatian campsites. It organises the Adria Camping Rally and has hosted Europa and World camping rallies. It also carries out quality control work and promotes contact between Croatian and foreign campers.

Vlaamse Kampeertoeristen vzw

VKT is a Flemish camping club based in Destelbergen offering insurance products specialised in motorhomes and caravans. It publishes the monthly magazine Kampeertoerist, which carries overnight addresses in Belgium and abroad plus equipment reviews. Members get discounts at more than 3,000 campsites and can join guided group camping trips to destinations such as Austria and Turkey. Regional sub-clubs run weekend camping events.

Wally Byam Caravan Club International, Inc.

Chartered in 1955 in Kentville, Nova Scotia and registered as a 501(c)(7) in Ohio in 1957, this Airstream owners' club now trades as Airstream Club International. It calls itself the longest-rolling single-brand RV club in the world and marked 70 years in 2025. Activity is organised through 12 geographic regions with local clubs, intra-clubs and special interest groups, plus caravans and an annual International Rally. It publishes Blue Beret magazine and offers members courtesy parking and a club app.

Unió Caravanista de Catalunya

UCCAT is the regional caravanning union for Catalonia, based in Barcelona and registered with the city's association register. It brings together Catalan caravan and motorhome clubs, organises regional gatherings and motorhome concentrations, and issues the Camping Card International. It operates alongside the Federació Catalana de Clubs Campistes. It is listed by FICC as one of the Spanish issuing organisations.

Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.

Founded in Stuttgart in 1903, ADAC is the largest motoring organisation in Europe and one of the largest membership associations in the world. Its Gelbe Engel roadside patrols, air ambulance service, insurance arm and publishing operation serve more than 20 million members. For campers it publishes the ADAC Campingführer and Stellplatzführer guides, issues the ADAC Campcard discount card, and runs the PiNCAMP campsite booking portal. It does not operate campsites of its own.

Auto-moto savez Srbije

AMSS traces its origins to July 1921 and was formally established in its modern form on 29 July 1946. It reports more than 100,000 members and benefit users. Services include roadside assistance on the 1987 number, technical inspections and vehicle diagnostics, vehicle registration, insurance through AMS Osiguranje, driving schools and tourism services. It issues international travel documents and the Camping Card International, and publishes Automoto Revija.

Automobil Clubul Român

The ACR is Romania's national automobile club, which marked 121 years in 2025 and dates from 1904. It provides 24-hour roadside assistance in Romania and across Europe, driver training through its Scoala Soferi schools, and legal consultations with specialist motoring lawyers. It issues international travel documents and organises motorsport competitions as Romania's motorsport authority. Camping services form a small part of its member offer.

Automóvel Club de Portugal

The ACP is Portugal's national motoring and touring club, providing roadside and travel assistance across Portugal and Europe. It sells car, classic car, motorcycle, health, life and travel insurance and publishes Revista ACP for members. Campsite discounts and camping information form part of its member benefits, and it is one of the Portuguese issuers of the Camping Card International. Its website is available in Portuguese, English and French.

Avto-moto zveza Slovenije

AMZS is Slovenia's national automobile and motorcycle association, citing a tradition of more than 110 years. It runs 24-hour roadside assistance on the 1987 number, vehicle technical inspections and registration, tyre and servicing workshops, driving schools and a safe-driving centre. It publishes Motorevija and sells vehicle insurance, international travel documents and vignettes. It also operates camping and caravan facilities, including a campsite at its Ljubljana centre.

Félag íslenskra bifreiðaeigenda

FÍB was founded in 1932 and is a non-profit, non-governmental motoring association and Iceland's FIA member. It provides roadside assistance including towing, battery, tyre and fuel call-outs, plus legal and technical advisory services. It has published the FÍB blaðið member magazine since 1951 and offers discounts at shops, garages, inspection stations and fuel stations. It issues international driving permits and camping and CCI cards, and is listed by FICC as Iceland's card-issuing organisation.

Koninklijke Nederlandse Toeristenbond ANWB

Founded in Utrecht on 1 July 1883, the ANWB is the largest membership organisation in the Netherlands. Its Wegenwacht roadside patrol service, launched in 1946, is the country's biggest breakdown operation, and it also runs an emergency assistance centre, medical helicopters and a travel agency. It publishes twelve magazines including De Kampioen, along with camping guides, maps and campsite information. Camping bookings and the Camping Key Europe card are sold through its travel arm.

Norges Automobil-Forbund

Founded in 1924, NAF is Norway's largest motoring organisation with more than 500,000 members and 73 local chapters. It runs vehicle test stations, skid-training pads and roadside assistance, and operates a number of campsites. It publishes the monthly magazine Motor and the NAF Veibok road atlas, which appears every three years. NAF marked its centenary in 2024 and is a member of the FIA.

Österreichischer Automobil-, Motorrad- und Touring Club

The ÖAMTC was formed in 1946 through the merger of two clubs dating from 1896 and 1898, and now has over 2.2 million members. It runs 24-hour roadside assistance with about 500 vehicles from more than 100 bases, an air rescue service, driving safety centres and vehicle testing. Members receive the monthly auto touring magazine and free legal advice on accidents, insurance, vehicle purchases and travel. Its travel agency sells holidays and it partners with the Österreichischer Camping Club on camping benefits.

Touring Club Suisse

Founded in Geneva on 1 September 1896, the TCS is the largest mobility club in Switzerland with around 1.6 million members and 1,900 staff. Its Patrouille roadside service is its best-known operation, alongside ETI travel insurance, vehicle and legal protection cover, driving courses and vehicle testing. TCS Camping owns and runs 33 campsites across Switzerland, a business that marked 75 years in recent seasons. The members' magazine touring appears ten times a year in German, French and Italian.

VAB

VAB traces its origins to the Vlaamse Toeristenbond and Vlaamse Automobilistenbond and marked its centenary in 2022. It is the largest mobility organisation in Belgium, providing roadside assistance in Belgium and abroad, travel assistance, vehicle and travel insurance, and a driving school. It publishes VAB-Magazine and supplies motorhome and caravan advice and travel services to Flemish members. The organisation operates mainly in Dutch.

Bundesverband der Campingwirtschaft in Deutschland e.V.

BVCD is the national trade association for campsite and caravan park operators in Germany, organised through regional Landesverbände. It lobbies federal and state government on behalf of the camping economy and is listed on the German Bundestag lobby register. It represents Germany within EFCO&HPA, the European federation of campsite organisations. It serves businesses rather than individual campers.

Confederazione Italiana Campeggiatori

Founded on 2 July 1950 and based in Florence, Confedercampeggio is the national confederation for Italian campers, with about 170 affiliated clubs and 16 regional federations. It publishes the magazine Il Campeggio Italiano in print runs of around 25,000 copies per issue, plus the Ciao Campeggio guide of partner campsites and motorhome stopovers. As Italy's FICC member it distributes the Camping Card International. It also issues a member card and an annual guide to discounts and agreements.

European Federation of Campingsite Organisations and Holiday Park Associations

EFCO&HPA is the European-level representative body for the campsite, holiday and caravan park industry, with national member associations in 23 countries. It lobbies EU institutions so the sector's interests are taken into account in European decision making, and is on the EU transparency register. It also acts as a forum for members to exchange professional expertise across the single market. Its members are national trade associations such as BVCD, FNHPA and Svensk Camping.

Federação de Campismo e Montanhismo de Portugal

The FCMP is the Portuguese national federation covering camping and mountain sports, recognised as a public utility body since 1978. It governs nine outdoor disciplines including camping, auto-caravanning, alpinism, climbing, canyoning, hiking and ski-mountaineering. It licenses affiliated clubs and members, issues the Camping Card International, and organises national and international rallies. It represents Portugal at FICC.

Federace campingu a caravaningu ČR, z.s.

FCC ČR is the Czech national federation for camping and caravanning, registered in Heřmanův Městec. It brings together Czech camping clubs, issues the Camping Card International and organises national and international meets. It is the Czech Republic's FICC member federation, alongside the motoring bodies UAMK and Autoklub. Its older fcc-cr.cz domain no longer resolves; the current site is fcccr.cz.

Federación Española de Clubes Campistas

The FECC is the national federation of camping clubs in Spain, based in Aguas Nuevas, Albacete. Its statutes describe it as a non-profit, apolitical civil, sporting, cultural and tourism body. It issues the Camping Card International to members of affiliated clubs, organises national gatherings known as Acampadas Nacionales, and represents its clubs before government bodies. It sends Spanish delegations to FICC international rallies.

Fédération française des campeurs, caravaniers et camping-caristes

Created in 1938 as the Union française des associations de camping, the FFCC took its present name in 1952 and is the main French federation for campers, caravanners and motorhome users. It publishes the Guide Officiel Camping-Caravaning with Motor Presse France, which listed 9,333 French campsites in its 2016 edition. It introduced the first camping-specific civil liability insurance in 1939 and co-created the Camping Qualité label with FNHPA in 1999. Around 80 clubs are affiliated to it.

Fédération Internationale de Camping, Caravanning et Autocaravaning AISBL

FICC is the world federation of national camping, caravanning and motorcaravanning organisations, registered as an AISBL with offices at Rue Belliard in Brussels. Its first president, J. A. C. Champion of Great Britain, took office in 1933. Member federations across Europe, Asia and the Middle East issue the Camping Card International through it. It organises the annual International FICC Rally, along with Euro and youth rallies, and holds a General Assembly each year.

Fédération Luxembourgeoise des Campeurs, Caravaniers et Camping-Caristes ASBL

The FLCCC is Luxembourg's national federation of camping, caravanning and motorhome clubs, registered as an ASBL in Esch-sur-Alzette. It is listed by FICC as Luxembourg's Camping Card International issuing organisation, alongside the Automobile Club du Luxembourg. Its former flccc.lu domain no longer resolves in DNS, so no working official website could be verified. The organisation remains listed in Luxembourg business directories.

Irish Caravan and Camping Council

Formed in 1960 and incorporated as a limited company in 1969, the ICC is the representative body for caravan and camping park operators in Ireland. Its roughly 100 member parks are registered with Fáilte Ireland, and membership also includes caravan manufacturers, dealers and equipment suppliers. It works through voluntary self-regulation to monitor and uphold industry standards and markets Irish parks to domestic and overseas visitors. Its consumer-facing site is published in English, French, German and Dutch.

Kamping udruženje Hrvatske

KUH is the non-profit association of camping businesses in Croatia and states that its membership covers more than 90 percent of the country's camping offer. It gathers campsite operators and related legal entities to protect their economic and professional interests and represent the sector. It runs the camping.hr official camping portal and hosts the annual Croatian Camping Congress. The portal is published in six languages.

The Latvijas Kempingu asociācija is the association of camping site operators in Latvia, registered at Apaļkalns in Raiskuma parish, Cēsis municipality. It maintains the camping.lv directory and map of Latvian campsites and promotes camping tourism in the country. It represents member sites collectively and publishes practical information for visitors. Its site is available in Latvian and English.

Registered on 22 February 2005, the Lietuvos kempingų asociacija is the umbrella organisation for camping facilities in Lithuania. It maintains an online directory listing 31 member campsites across the country, together with destination information and camping routes. It promotes camping tourism to domestic and foreign visitors. The site is published in Lithuanian, German and English.

Panhellenic Camping Association

The Panhellenic Camping Association is the representative body for legally operating campsites in Greece. It promotes Greek campsites, defends the sector's interests before Greek and European authorities, and publishes an annual guide to legal campsites and camping services. It runs the greececamping.gr directory. It is the Greek member of EFCO&HPA.

Polska Federacja Campingu i Caravaningu

The PFCC is Poland's national camping and caravanning federation, based in Warsaw. It maintains the register of Polish campsites, trains and certifies camping inspectors, and sells camping maps and Camping Card International carnets. It represents caravan tourism interests in parliamentary discussions on infrastructure and regulation, and appears at tourism trade fairs. It is Poland's FICC member federation.

Schweizerischer Camping- und Caravanning-Verband

The SCCV, also known in French as the Fédération Suisse de Camping et de Caravaning, is the umbrella body for Swiss camping and caravanning clubs. It represents member clubs nationally, issues the Camping Card International and coordinates joint camping events. It is Switzerland's member federation of FICC. Its material is published in German and French.

SF-Caravan ry

SF-Caravan has represented Finnish caravanners since 1964 and is the umbrella body for 80 local member associations with over 60,000 members between them. Many of those local associations own and run their own caravan sites, giving members a network of low-cost pitches around Finland. Members receive Caravan-lehti magazine, an electronic membership card with the Karavaanarin Mobiili app, and camping discounts in Finland and abroad. It also sells camping guides and camping cards through its shop.

Slovenská asociácia campingu a caravaningu

SACC is Slovakia's national camping and caravanning association and its FICC member organisation. It issues the Camping Card International to Slovak campers and represents member clubs domestically and internationally. It maintains information on Slovak campsites and coordinates participation in international rallies. Its site is served on caravaning.sk, where the certificate does not cover the www hostname.

The Finnish Camping Association is the trade body for campsites and holiday villages in Finland, based in Helsinki. It runs the camping.fi booking and information portal covering member campsites across the country. It administers the Camping Key Europe card in Finland and publishes the Camping & Caravan in Finland magazine. The portal is available in Finnish, Swedish, English and German.

Svensk Camping

Founded in 1967 and long known as SCR, Svensk Camping is the trade network for Swedish campsite businesses, bringing together more than 300 campsites with their managers, staff and industry suppliers. It represents the sector to government and cooperates with European partners including EFCO&HPA, ADAC and ANWB. It is behind the Camping Key Europe card used by guests for discounts and identification at campsites. Its former scr.se domain now redirects to svenskcamping.com.

swisscamps – Verband Schweizerischer Campings

swisscamps is the national umbrella association for campsite operators in Switzerland, with around 218 member sites. It represents operators to federal and cantonal authorities, advises members, and runs quality classification to support the sector's image. It coordinates joint marketing including trade fair presence and a printed camping guide. Its members are businesses rather than individual campers.

Vlaamse Kampeer- en Caravanning Federatie

The VKCF is the umbrella federation for Flemish camping and caravanning clubs in Belgium. It issues the Camping Card International to members of its affiliated clubs and coordinates joint rallies and representation. It is one of the Belgian member organisations of FICC. The federation works in Dutch.

ACSI is a commercial campsite publisher and inspection company based in Andelst, Netherlands, trading since 1965 with over 550 staff. More than 400 inspectors assess European campsites each year and the results feed its printed guides, apps and booking platforms covering around 9,400 sites. Its best-known product is the CampingCard ACSI low-season discount card, alongside the ACSI Club ID identity card. It is a business rather than a membership association.

Boondockers Welcome is a membership network that matches RV travellers with private hosts offering free driveway and property overnight stays, with more than 3,675 host locations across the United States and Canada. It is part of the Harvest Hosts group. Guests pay an annual guest privileges subscription that the company compares to the cost of one night at a campground. Members search locations and message hosts through the website and mobile app.

Camping Card International

The Camping Card International is a camping identity and discount card issued through FICC, AIT and FIA member organisations rather than sold directly to the public. Card holders get discounts of up to 40 percent at participating sites, with the scheme's site citing over 3,100 campsites and discount points across 40 countries. The card doubles as an identity document at campsite receptions and includes third-party liability cover. It is available in seven languages and has a companion mobile app.

Camping Key Europe

Camping Key Europe is a camping discount and identification card originating with the Swedish campsite trade body Svensk Camping and now sold across northern Europe through partners including ANWB and the Finnish Camping Association. It gives discounts at participating campsites, serves as an alternative to leaving a passport at reception, and includes liability insurance covering up to six people. The scheme states more than one million people use it each year. It replaced the earlier Camping Card Scandinavia.

CAMPING-CAR PARK is a French commercial operator of automated motorhome stopover areas, describing itself as the leading European network of its kind. Its members' card gives 24-hour barrier access and online booking at more than 800 aires and campsites, with around 750 shown on its 2026 Michelin partnership map. Access is sold as a subscription with a Pack Privilèges tier rather than through club membership. Bookings are managed through its website and app.

Camping.BG is a Bulgarian camping media company, publisher and fair organiser based in Veliko Tarnovo. It runs the main directory of Bulgarian campsites and publishes the annual Camping Guide Bulgaria. It operates a Clubcard discount scheme for campers through card.camping.bg. It is a commercial publisher, and the FICC-listed Bulgarian Association of Camping and Caravanning domain bacc-camping.bg currently serves only a hosting placeholder page.

Good Sam Club

Founded in 1966, Good Sam is owned by Good Sam Enterprises, part of the Camping World group, and passed two million members in 2018. Members get a 10 percent discount on nightly rates at more than 2,100 affiliated RV parks and campgrounds in North America. It operates as a commercial membership programme attached to a retail business.

Harvest Hosts started in 2009 and was bought from founders Don and Kim Greene by Joel Holland in May 2018. Members pay an annual subscription for free overnight stays at farms, wineries, breweries, museums and golf courses, with 9,695 or more host locations listed by 2026 and over 260,000 members as of 2024. Guests are expected to support hosts through a purchase rather than paying a pitch fee. The company absorbed RV Golf Club in 2018 and now also owns Boondockers Welcome.

Kampgrounds of America

KOA was founded in Billings, Montana in 1962 and began selling franchises in 1963. It operates more than 500 campgrounds across the United States and Canada under a franchise model, with sites graded as Journey, Holiday and Resort. Its KOA Rewards programme, formerly the Value Kard, gives members a discount on registration rates and points towards free nights. It is a commercial campground chain rather than a membership club.

Thousand Trails was founded in 1969 and opened its first preserve in 1972, marking 55 years in recent seasons. It is owned by Equity LifeStyle Properties, which acquired it in 2008, and operates over 80 membership campgrounds across 23 US states and British Columbia. Members pay a one-time membership fee plus annual dues to use the network, with higher tiers allowing longer continuous stays and access to more preserves. The system is aimed primarily at RV owners.
