Started in 1901 as the Association of Cycle Campers, this is the oldest camping organisation in the UK. It runs close to 100 of its own Club Sites and more than 1,200 member-only Certificated Sites, and operates as a not-for-profit body. It offers Club Care insurance, travel insurance, breakdown cover and manoeuvring courses, and contains special interest sections such as the Association of Lightweight Campers and the Canoe-Camping Club.

Bakewell · Derbyshire

Bakewell Camping and Caravanning Club Site

A site on Hopping Lane at Youlgreave in the Peak District National Park, about five miles from Bakewell. It has no toilet block or shower facilities, so units must be self-contained. The surrounding limestone dales offer walking from the site.

Barnard Castle · County Durham

Barnard Castle Camping and Caravanning Club Site

A rural site on Dockenflatts Lane at Lartington, just outside the market town of Barnard Castle in the North Pennines. The Pennine Way and High Force waterfall are within reach. The Yorkshire Dales lie to the south.

Bellingham Camping and Caravanning Club Site

A site at Brown Rigg, Bellingham, in Northumberland National Park, about 17 miles from Hexham. It lies in a dark sky area used for stargazing, with Kielder Water and Forest Park and Hadrian's Wall nearby. Bellingham village is about a 20-minute walk away.

An all-year site on Glebe Road on the shore of Lake Windermere at Bowness. The site was refurbished in 2022 and includes a dog wash. Bowness town centre and the lake steamers are within walking distance.

Braithwaite Village Camping and Caravanning Club Site

An all-year site at Braithwaite village, between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake in the northern Lake District. Glamping pods and self-catering lodges are available alongside touring pitches. Whinlatter Pass and Keswick are both close by.

A site at Gillards Moor, St Gennys, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the north Cornwall coast. Bude is around a 15-minute drive away. Surfing beaches and the South West Coast Path are close by.

A level, tree-bordered site at 19 Cabbage Moor in the village of Great Shelford, about four miles from Cambridge. The surrounding South Cambridgeshire countryside is used for walking and cycling. The city's colleges and museums are reachable by bus or train.

A rural site at Monkton Wyld Farm on Scotts Lane near Charmouth in west Dorset, sheltered by hedgerows. Charmouth Beach and the fossil-bearing cliffs of the Jurassic Coast are a short drive away. Lyme Regis is nearby.

An all-year woodland site on Station Road at Delamere, inside Cheshire's largest forest. Walking and cycling routes start from the site, and Delamere railway station is adjacent. Chester is within driving distance.

An all-year site on Crow Park Road at Keswick, between Derwentwater and the northern fells. Keswick town centre is a short walk away. Catbells and Skiddaw are among the fell walks accessible from the site.

A site on Kinder Road at Hayfield in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park. It is a common starting point for walks onto Kinder Scout. Hayfield village is under half a mile away along a riverside path.

A site on Crow Park Road on the shore of Derwentwater in the northern Lake District, within walking distance of Keswick town centre. Skiddaw and the northern fells rise directly behind the town. The site is open all year.

A site at Caffyn's Cross on Lydiate Lane near Lynton, on the Exmoor coast in north Devon. Pitches have views across countryside and out to sea. The South West Coast Path and the Two Moors Way both pass nearby. The site has no accessible facilities.

A wooded site on Coach Road within the Sandringham Estate in west Norfolk, about seven miles from King's Lynn. Sandringham House and its visitor centre are close by. Hunstanton and the RSPB reserve at Snettisham are within driving distance.

A site at Higher Tregiffian Farm, St Buryan, near Land's End at the western tip of Cornwall, with sea views over the Atlantic. The ground is largely flat and there is a children's play area and playing field. The South West Coast Path is directly accessible and Penzance is about eight miles away.
